Obbie McClintock, age 85, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Bethel Park, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024. She is survived by her beloved husband, George L. McClintock, Jr. of 63 wonderful years; her daughter, Diane McClintock; brother-in-law, Robert (Marjorie) McClintock, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Olive Tutein.
Obbie lived a life full of music, theater and travel. She loved dogs, and had many collectibles from European travels. She loved attending musicals and concerts, both high school and professional, with family and friends. Obbie had a beautiful singing voice, and sang for many weddings and funerals. She always made music with all of her soul.
George and Obbie have known each other since 4th grade and have been making music together since 7th grade. Obbie worked as a secretary and directed the spring musical at Upper St. Clair High School and was the Assistant Music Director at Hamilton Presbyterian Church. Obbie and George also chaperoned countless students and adults to Europe. She loved going to Paris the most.
She was very protective of her loved ones and loved them all so deeply. Obbie will be profoundly missed by all who knew her sense of humor and joie de vivre. As God said, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Noon at Hamilton Presbyterian Church, 4500 Hamilton Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102. A Luncheon in celebration of Obbie's life will be held after the service. Donations may be made to Hamilton Presbyterian Church music fund.
