Hazen, Arthur G., age 83, of Pleasant Hills, on January 2, 2004. Beloved husband of Pearl (Radke) Hazen; loving father of James Hazen and Joy Hazen Cobb (George); dear grandfather of Timothy Hazen, Ashley Burney and Allison Bolyard; great-grandfather of Logan Burney.
Arthur was a Navy Lieutenant serving during WWII, he was a Phys. Ed and Physics teacher at West Mifflin School District and a Physics teacher at Upper Saint Clair High School. He was a member of the Pleasant Hills-Guthrie Lodge #759, a member of the Mon Valley Shrine Luncheon Club, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite 32nd Degree and Syrian Shriners. He was also an Elder at the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 on Sunday at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:30pm on Sunday in the funeral home and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 on Mon. at Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 1 Library Place, Ste 107, Duquesne, PA 15110.
