Kevin Shanahan

Kevin M. Shanahan, age 55 of Mt. Lebanon, suddenly on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Devoted and loving husband of the late Angela 'Angel' (Della Vecchia) Shanahan; beloved son of Mary Catherine Shanahan and the late James F. Shanahan; cherished brother of Robert (Jan) Davidson of TX, James (Carol) Shanahan, Mary Ann (Mike) Lucas, David (Sonja) Shanahan and Bryan (Mary) Shanahan of NC; also survived by many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. He graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics and was an airframe and powerplant mechanic. He specialized in troubleshooting everything mechanical. His true inspiration was safety in the airline industry. He enjoyed the friendship and camaraderie of his family at U.S. Airways. Kevin was an avid fisherman, boater, water skier and overall outdoorsman. He enjoyed sponsoring camping trips for family and friends and he loved fishing with his father and playing pool with his other family members. He will be sadly and profoundly missed by all. No public visitation. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church. Inurnment private.
