In Memoriam

Barbara Ellen Baltz, 54, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday (April 16, 2016) with her loving husband, Thomas of 33 years and family by her side. Born August 10, 1961 in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Marilyn (Machacek) Peck. Barbara worked as Store Manager for Follett College Book Stores at multiple universities in CT, Account Executive at NERAC in Tolland, and most recently as Account Executive at BLR in Old Saybrook. Barbara was a communicant at St. Francis of Assisi Church, and displayed her nature for helping others by being a Religious Education teacher, being active with the Cursillo and ACTS movements; and was a member of the Soroptimists in Willimantic. In addition to her husband, Thomas, Barbara leaves behind her three children, Kyle Baltz of Colchester, Ellen Baltz of Myrtle Beach, SC and Matthew Baltz of Lebanon; two brothers, Christopher and wife, Ana Peck of Lansdale, PA, John and wife, Nicole Peck, of Colchester; also two sisters, Julie and husband, Bill Fuqua of Sacramento, CA and Leslie and husband, Mark Gardner of Pittsburgh, PA; and numerous extended family members and friends. The family will receive guests Thursday (April 21st) from 5 to 7 PM at the Aurora McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 10:30 AM Friday, (April 22nd) directly at St. Andrew Church, 128 Norwich Ave., Colchester.
