Ron Daurora

Ronald Dean Daurora, age 59, of Castle Shannon, formerly of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on September 1, 2021.

Loving husband of 36 years to Lisa J. Daurora; father of Amanda J. Daurora and Nadine (Jerome) Scherer; grandfather of Mia Bella Costello, Mila Rose Scherer and Emilio Ronald Scherer; brother of Larry (Jackie) Daurora, Marilyn (the late Lou) LaMarca, Diane (Tom) Stump and Denise (David) Bohlander.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence P. and Rose A. Daurora and a sister-in-law, Ann Daurora.

He was a member of the 1979 class of Upper St. Clair High School and an IUP football player.

Ron had a vast employment history from working at the Automatic Cigarette Vending Co., being a Nationwide Insurance Agent, working at Bob Smith Ford, and retiring as Allegheny County Deputy Sheriff after twenty years of service -20 years to the day from January 18, 1999 to January 18, 2019. He was an avid music lover and a member of the Martina McBride

Fan Club. Ron loved attending concerts with friends, meet and greets, and tailgating. He also enjoyed traveling, boat rides on Indian Lake, and going to the sportsman club; but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A funeral ceremony will be held Monday, September 6, 2021, 11:00 am, at Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ron's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Plaza Bldg . 451 44th St, Penthouse FL, Pittsburgh, PA 15201.
